The silk base lies against the scalp so a parting can be placed where she wants it, and the hair around it is matched to her color and to the density of what remains. From above — the angle that matters — there is hair, a line, and light, not a glimpse of method. It is couture because the base, the knotting, and the color match are made to her, and because the price respects that a parting is intimate.
